FOAL REGISTRATIONS
Don’t forget your foal registrations! Registration applications received by the office after 31st October 2025 are subject to double fees and will not qualify for SPARKS grants.
Applications received after 30th November 2025 are subject to a £100 late penalty and cannot be guaranteed publication in the 2025 volume of the Stud Book.
If you have not requested your foal registration pack yet please contact the office by email or telephone.
STALLION SERVICE BOOKS
Stallion owners are reminded that service books are to be returned to the office by 31st October 2025. Books must contain the white certificate copies and all unused certificates. Stallion owners should remove the pink and blue copies from the book, give the pink copies to the mare owners and keep the blue copies for their records.
SPARKS UK
The Society will be paying its SPARKS grants again in 2025. Grants will be paid to UK breeders for successful registration of pure bred Shire foals, born in 2025 for green and yellow matings based on the 2024 Kinship Tables.

Breeders are reminded that grants will only be paid, where completed registration applications arrive at the Society’s office on or before 31st October 2025, (the closing date for the Stud Book), and are accepted by the Society. Grants will not be paid for registrations received after this deadline.
Other conditions to which grants are subject to are:
· Foals must be bred in the UK, by natural mating or AI
· Applications must be for pure bred foals in the “full book”
· Grants are payable for pure bred colt foals registered as non-breeding, subject to DNA parentage verification.
