Useful Visitor Information (Stafford)

We have been made aware that both the Stafford Horse Trials (weekend) and the Stafford Half-Marathon (Sunday, 19th March) will be taking place between 10am and 12.30pm at the same time as our National Show at Stafford.

Please note the Stafford Horse Trials runs in the adjacent fields over the weekend and the half-marathon race will be held on Sunday, 19th March around the roads of Stafford .  Please visit their website for timings and route information.  http://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/live/welcome.asp?id=1784

The advice from the Borough Council is to avoid Stafford town centre on the Sunday and if arriving via the M6 to exit at junction 14 and travel down the A34 and A513 towards the Showground. By Rail

The Showground is just four miles from Stafford Railway Station.  The station is situated on the West Coast Main Line offering a direct service to London Euston with a journey time of approximately one hour and twenty minutes.  It also offers direct services to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester and Liverpool.

By Air

Airports – Birmingham International Airport is about 45 minutes from the Showground and both Manchester and East Midlands airports can be reached in little more than an hour.

By Bus

There are no bus services to the Showground.

Disabled Access

Disabled Access Step free access to all Exhibition Halls, Conference and Banqueting facilities.  There is no Blue Badge Car Park.  Disabled visitors may be dropped off at the nearest point and then the car parked in the car park.

Toilet Facilities

Unisex Disabled toilet facilities are available inside Bingley Hall adjacent to the Barn Shop.

Access to Bingley Hall Balcony

A passenger lift within Bingley Hall affords disabled visitors access to the balcony.

Show Directions

The Show address is: Bingley Hall, Staffordshire County Showground, Weston Road, Stafford, ST18 0BD.

Positioned in the heart of England, the Showground is situated on the A518 Stafford to Uttoxeter road, some four miles from Stafford.  Drivers from either the North or South using the M6 motorway should exit at junction 14 and follow the signs for the County Showground / Shire Horse Show.
