Placing an advertisement via post:You can also place an advertisement by sending us your details in the post, visit our 'Forms' page to download. Please complete and return to Shire Horse Society, East of England Showground, Peterborough, PE2 6XE Important notices:All advertisements will appear for 1 month only, then they will be removed from the site. To extend your advertisement space after 1 month you will need to re-submit the form and relevant payments to us using the links above. We endeavour to post advertisements within 7 working days dependent on receipt of your advert and relevant payments. People wishing to place adverts, are asked to send a maximum of two pictures. These will be uploaded onto the site at the thumbnail size only. Horse for sale terms and conditions:1. Anyone placing an advert on this site must provide full details of their horse - full name, sire, dam and foaled date. 2. We only upload Shire Crossbreeds that have a passport or listed in our stud book. 3. If we do not receive full information from you, your horse will not be listed on our website. These rules are in place because we feel that in order to provide a good service to our web users, full details must be listed so the customer can gain full insight into the horse before considering a purchase. Please submit one advert per horse. Horse for sale informationSellers: It has been bought to our attention that email ‘scammers’ may have been targeting people selling horses through this website. The Shire Horse Society can accept no responsibility for this activity. We would advise you to check a potential purchaser is legitimate. We would also advise you not to engage in any transaction where you are encouraged to cash bankers draft / cheques prior to the sale and forward money for transport charges back to the purchaser, or other such transactions. If you feel you have been targeted by such a scam please contact the police, Trading Standards or the ISP from which the email was sent. Buyers: The Shire Horse Society is not and will not be a party to, or responsible for, any transaction concerning horses / other items advertised for sale on the Web Site. All agreements are entered into by you and the third party advertiser and/or third party providing the goods and/or services only. We would advise anyone buying a horse to get it checked over by a qualified vet before purchase. |
