MOORFIELD TED

Moorfield Ted born 2001 Sire Moorfield Edward Dam Moorfield Victoria Great Grand Sires: Hillmoor Enterprise and Cubley Charlie
Moorfield Ted stands 18 hands high, mid bay with four white legs. He is a modern Shire Horse with a high, correct action and a fabulous head and neck. He was the Reserve Champion Stallion at Peterborough in 2006 and has been a class winner at The National Championships several times.
Ted’s progeny are frequent Horse of the Year qualifiers and his yearling son won his class at Peterborough in 2010.
The two major show and sales of 2010, Marchington and Wettenhall, both had Ted foals as supreme champion foals, the Wettenhall show winner went on to be overall Junior Champion, and the Reserve Champion at Marchington was also Teds daughter.
Ted is a fabulous breeder being the son of Moorfield Edward but adding a different dimension because his grandfather is Gronant Duke.
Alistair believes that Moorfield Edward, Teds father, is possibly the greatest stock getter anywhere in this world today.
Both Moorfield Ted and Moorfield Edward are standing at stud at Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre.

BRAVEHEART

Braveheart is big, standing at a genuine 18.3 hands high, and is jet black with four white legs and a blaze. He represents the breed in text book fashion.
He has also proved himself in the area where any good stallion should shine; at stud. He sired Pantyrhuad Heidi who was Supreme Champion Mare at Peterborough in 2009 where Braveheart was himself Senior Champion Stallion and Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion. Heidi went through the 2009 season unbeaten at many major shows and she was Reserve Champion at the Horse of the Year Show.
Braveheart has sired 17 foals this year and he has covered 28 mares in 2010, probably more than any other stallion in this country. His semen was evaluated for A.I. in 2009 and the fertility was excellent.
In the last 2 years foals by Braveheart have been entered in progeny classes and have won every time including the Midland Foal Show. He is the sire of the second place colt foal (Deighton Aristocrat) and the second place filly foal (Deighton Model) at the Midland foal show this year where there were well in excess of 20 foals in each class. He is also the sire of Crossingtons Ebony, who won Champion Foal at the Northern Heavy Horse Society Foal Show. In Germany this year he is the sire of the National Champion Colt foal and Reserve Champion Filly foal.
His offspring are big and well marked and he is breeding a lot of good blacks which is what the market desires. He breeds a fashionable foal with good size, quality, colour, conformation and temperament.
