Shire Horse Society Development Officer wanted
The Shire Horse Society, a registered charity established in 1878 to promote the old English breed of cart horses, is looking to appoint a Development Officer.
This is a new appointment and the successful candidate will be responible for co-ordinating the Society's many activities including:
- Raising the public profile of the Shire Horse Society
- Recruitment and retention of members
- Promoting links with national and international Societies and partnership organisations
- Ensuring the Society's Committee objectives are delivered on time and within budget.
Experience of the heavy horse community would be desirable, although not essential, together with an understanding of membership organisations and/or charities
Strong communication skills, a flexible approach to working and the ability to work on own initiative essential.
